Hard Drives are SATA, CD drive i'm not sure it's a usb cd drive.All Connectors to the drives are connected including the power and data cables. I've actually seen other components produce similar results (a dodgy NIC actually). BTW the board is an Asus M2N MX SE. this page Not sure if that will help you.

Nah, still the same as before.. There's this little three-pin white connector thing on my side-panel (the one that slides off) case fan. Would be good news to hear... But for you, the trick should allow you to use the computer while you wait for a new power supply to ship.
