regular fast boot is fine as long as the USB Support is set to [Full Initial] and or the PS2 Devices Support is set to [Enabled] . Thanks for the poster(s) who helped. Booting from an XP setup CD still leaves the keyboard unresponsive. after I exit the SETUP menu and go to the welcome screen, the keyboard and mouse lock up so I cant put in my password or move the mouse.
the thing that i dont get is that the OS has nothing to do with it. And after delete you go run:Msinfo32, Then under protocol should be empty. After I uninstalled the original mouse driver, cold boot was ok. If you're having a computer problem, ask on our forum for advice.
