A quick trip to Lenovo's support site, and following your slip-streaming instructions did the trick. Switching it back to "Compatibility" mode allows me to boot Windows normally. however both were burnt from the same source but the other one worked … funny, isn't it? Windows Xp Install Can't Find Hard Drive After I press ENTER to install a fresh copy of XP, I get a message saying that no hard drive was detected and that I must quit setup. Looked for the SATA option, and lo and behold, it was set to ACHI mode, I think.I changed that to IDE.Saved, and exit.Reboot, and XP installation recognized the hard disk, and I disabled SATA in gthe BIOS..
